Asia 🌊

India

• India's income tax department to monitor digital activities, Including Cryptocurrency Holdings, from April 2026 under new bill.

• Reskill, a hackathon organizer who previously organized the Meta Llama India hackathon, is cooking up an AI Ethereum Agentic hackathon. Stay tuned!

• Prof. Ankit from IIIT Hyderabad led a 5-day Ethereum development bootcamp during the National Workshop and Bootcamp on Cyber Security and Blockchain event (March 1-5, 2025). He's also establishing an "Ethereum Practical Lab" to enhance the Ethereum and Web3 Development curriculum he teaches.

Malaysia

• If you live in Kuala Lumpur, go hang out at ETHKL meetups, where they organize biweekly ETH-related meetups, and the hacker house.

China Mainland

• ETHHangzhou hackathon, on AI and Public Goods, March 29-31, 2025.

• Coset will host a zkVM hackerhouse in Suzhou, April 14-27, 2025.

Hong Kong

• ETHDimsum is organizing a Cross-L2 Interoperability and Programmable Cryptography research house in Hong Kong from April 6-9, 2025. Special community meetup on April 8.

Taiwan

• ETHTaipei (1-2 April, 2025) is more than a conference. Shout out to the core team and the volunteers!

• ETHGlobal Taipei (4-6 April, 2025) was a big success, drawing 730 attendees from 43 countries!

Sweden

• Research engineer Monica Jin and Raphina Liu from KTH under supervisor Martin Monperrus published the paper On-Chain Analysis of Smart Contract Dependency Risks on Ethereum.

Serbia

• ETH Belgrade organizes regular meetups.

Poland

• The intense 3-day ETH Warsaw Spring Hack (21-23 March, 2025) saw 8 teams submit their projects, including AI-driven solutions for DeFi, Web3 onboarding, cybersecurity, and more.

Romania

• ETHCluj organizes regular online and offline meetups. The March Edition is about Open Intents Framework & ERC-7638.
